Q500 for $350 (Free Shipping for Amazon Prime Members)
Q500 with Extra Battery and Carrying Case for $400 (Free Shipping for Amazon Prime Members)
BIG NEWS! The Yuneec Typhoon Q500 drone (in case you haven’t seen the full review, check it out) is down to 350 bucks today only. The sale is on at Woot, and it’s a refurbished model. What does this mean, and why should you care?
Well, to start off, the Q500 has a 4k camera, stabilized on a 3-axis gimbal. If that meant nothing to you, the bottom line is that the camera quality is fantastic. I’d say it’s on par with, if not above the quality of the DJI Phantom 4. You can see a picture taken with it below.
Also, the gimbal can pop off the drone and attach to a handheld device called the steadygrip so you can get stabilized shots from your hand. This is one of my favorite features, and something that I wish DJI would incorporate.
Secondly, the flight specs are very impressive. It has around 20-25 minutes of flight time on average, which is similar to the Mavic Air or Pro. The Q500 is pretty slow, maxing out at 18 mph, but that’s a small trade-off for the quality you’re getting with this thing. Its range is also limited, with a max of about 400 meters. However, if you’re in the US, you need to keep within line of sight anyway, so that’s not a big deal.
Moving onto the price, the Typhoon 4k originally was selling for over $1000, and now it’s at 350. That’s a pretty crazy deal, which is why I suggest you hop on it today.
The $350 buys you the drone, the controller, a battery, and the steadygrip. If you can cough up another 50 bucks, you can get the drone, controller, steadygrip, two batteries, and a nice carrying case. At 350 or 400, you’re still getting an amazing deal.
While this is the biggest deal I’ve found this week, here are some other great ones too.
DJI Spark for $329 (34% off original price of $500)
Mavic Pro for $882 (12% off the original price of $1000)
